Ravinia Festival (Highland Park, IL) – BYOB Opportunity by Corx Wine Bags

Having lived in Chicago for several years I wished that I had attended the Ravinia Festival much sooner. This remarkable series of concerts has an absolutely electric feel that is second to none. The spreads that people put on for these events take the picnic and byob concept to an entirely new level. Some choose to bring their own feast, others chose to have Ravinia Catering take care of everything. An option that we often chose was to load up our basket with meals from Trotter's to Go, filled up our Corx Wine Bags and headed to the train for the short trip up to Highland Park, IL. So if you live in the Chicago area, or are visiting during the summer months considering venturing out and attending one of many acts that are a part of the Ravinia experience. You will be glad you did!
An excerpt from the Ravinia website.....
Since 1904, Ravinia has been Chicago's "sound of summer," a place where you can meet up with your friends, have a wonderful time and hear some of the greatest music in the world. We've got stars on the stage and stars in the sky, and it's all within your reach. But there's more to Ravinia than merely the world's greatest music. For as many people who walk through Ravinia's gate each summer, there are just as many ways to enjoy what we call "The Ravinia Experience." For some, it all starts with a picnic picked up along the way, followed by a hop on the train and greeting your friends at your favorite spot on the lawn. Gradually, day turns into evening, and from the comfort of your perfect lawn spot, it culminates in a great concert by candlelight as you gaze at the stars above.
Cheers!
